Lesion Removal
Whether it's a skin tag or wart that's become bothersome and requires clinical removal, or a growing number of moles you'd like documented through digital mole mapping. This is where we come in.
Moles and lesions can change slowly, in ways that are hard to notice day to day. Having a documented baseline and a clinical eye trained to spot change means concerns are picked up earlier, not missed.
Understanding Skin Lesions
Skin lesions including skin tags, warts, sun spots, and other benign growths are common, and many people carry them for years without knowing removal is even an option. Others simply find them irritating, catching on clothing or jewellery, or affecting how their skin looks and feels.
Most of us have moles, spots, or small growths somewhere on our skin — and most are completely harmless. But keeping track of them, and knowing when something has genuinely changed, isn't always straightforward to do on your own.
Whether it's a mole you've noticed looks different, a growing number of spots you'd like documented, a skin tag or wart that's become bothersome, or simply wanting a proactive baseline of your skin — this is where we come in.
At The Dermal Clinic in Hervey Bay, moles and lesions are approached with the same clinical care as any other skin concern starting with proper assessment and imaging, not guesswork. Using DermEngine technology, we document, monitor, and — where appropriate — treat lesions, with a clear referral pathway to your GP whenever something needs medical review.

A comprehensive AHPRA-registered nurse assessment using DermEngine imaging, with your baseline report forwarded directly to your GP.
Is this right for you?
Mole mapping is suitable for almost anyone wanting a clearer picture of their skin. If you've noticed a specific lesion that's changed recently, this is assessed directly during your appointment — and referred for medical review if needed, as a standard part of the process.

If you have a mole that is bleeding, crusting, painful, or has changed rapidly in size, shape, or colour over a short period, we strongly recommend booking an immediate appointment with your General Practitioner.
If you have a general concern or have noticed a slow change and want a clinical baseline, our Mole Mapping service is an excellent first step. As a Registered Nurse-led clinic, if we identify any lesions that require medical review during your DermEngine assessment, we will immediately forward your imaging and clinical notes directly to your GP for further medical management.

No, it is not. The Dermal Clinic provides Registered Nurse-led skin assessments, baseline documentation, and clinical imaging using advanced DermEngine technology.
We do not provide medical diagnoses.
Our role is to thoroughly assess, monitor, and document your skin, and to refer you directly to your General Practitioner if any suspicious lesions require a formal diagnosis, medical intervention, or a subsequent referral to a dermatologist.
