About mesoestetic®

mesoestetic® Pharma Group, based in Barcelona, is a world-leading medical-cosmetic laboratory. The brand is recognised globally for developing advanced dermocosmetic and aesthetic medicine formulations supported by decades of clinical research and pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.

The brand’s professional and retail offerings align perfectly with The Dermal Clinic’s medical foundation, ensuring every treatment is safe, evidence-based, and designed to achieve measurable results.

Why mesoestetic® at The Dermal Clinic

I chose to introduce mesoestetic® to The Dermal Clinic as it represents the ideal intersection between medical dermatology and advanced dermal therapy. The brand supports both clinical-grade treatment protocols and structured homecare programs, allowing clients to continue their results beyond the clinic setting.

The formulations are supported by global clinical data, ensuring predictable, repeatable, and progressive outcomes—a crucial factor for our standards of care.

mesoestetic® will sit alongside our existing professional partners including Cutera (Xeo platform), iS Clinical, HydraFacial Syndeo, SkinPen Precision, and Healite LED. Together, these technologies create a complete ecosystem for skin correction and restoration.

Professional In-Clinic Range

The mesoestetic® professional line comprises pharmaceutical-grade peels, ampoules, and treatment masks designed to address complex skin concerns including pigmentation, acne, photoageing, sensitivity, and scarring.

Professional Chemical Peels

Each peel is meticulously formulated with precise acid concentrations and stabilisation systems to ensure maximum efficacy with minimal irritation. All peels are pH-adjusted and designed to work progressively to improve cell renewal, collagen synthesis, and overall skin health.

  • A hydrating alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) peel ideal for dry, dehydrated, or sensitive skin. It gently exfoliates and stimulates collagen while strengthening the barrier.
Targets: Dryness, dullness, superficial lines, mild sensitivity, early ageing.
    Treatment areas: Face, neck, décolletage.
Integration: Excellent for pre-event treatments or to prepare skin for deeper procedures like Laser Genesis or SkinPen.

  • A more active AHA peel that accelerates cellular turnover and collagen remodelling. Enhances brightness, texture, and firmness.
Targets: Fine lines, uneven tone, congestion, rough texture.
Ideal for: Ageing or sun-damaged skin.
Integration: Suited to pre-laser skin conditioning programs and maintenance between fractional treatments.

  • Derived from bitter almonds, this peel is well tolerated by reactive, vascular, and darker Fitzpatrick types. It offers gradual brightening and anti-inflammatory benefits.
Targets: Pigmentation, uneven tone, redness, and mild rosacea.
Integration: Pairs beautifully with LED therapy and post-IPL recovery care.

  • A beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) peel for acne-prone or congested skin. Reduces sebaceous activity, clears pores, and helps manage inflammation.
Targets: Acne, blackheads, seborrhoea, enlarged pores, oily T-zone.
Integration: Ideal for acne management programs combined with blue LED and iS Clinical Pro-Heal homecare.

  • A blend of resorcinol, lactic acid, and salicylic acid providing medium-depth resurfacing. Encourages epidermal renewal and lightens post-inflammatory pigmentation.
Targets: Pigment irregularities, sun damage, and early signs of ageing.
Integration: A mid-depth resurfacing option for clients not ready for laser treatments.

  • A trichloroacetic acid peel for deeper resurfacing and dermal rejuvenation. Performed under strict nurse supervision, this peel targets advanced textural concerns.
Targets: Acne scarring, deep wrinkles, severe photoageing, loss of elasticity.
Integration: Suitable as a pre-laser preparation or post-acne scar revision course.

  • A synergistic blend of tranexamic acid, azelaic acid, and salicylic acid. Brightens pigmentation and reduces inflammatory acne activity while maintaining skin integrity.
Targets: Melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), active acne.
Integration: Safely paired with IPL and Laser Genesis to enhance pigment clearance and reduce vascular redness.

Cosmelan® Depigmentation Program

Designed to target all forms of hyperpigmentation including melasma, sun-induced pigmentation, and post-inflammatory marks, the Cosmelan program is a professional in-clinic and at-home treatment that reduces visible pigmentation and regulates melanin production for long-term prevention. It is suitable for Queensland’s high-UV environment where sun damage and pigmentation are prevalent. A pre-treatment consultation is required to ensure suitability and safety.

Cosmelan® is not a quick-fix peel — it’s a scientifically developed depigmentation program that provides lasting improvement through both professional care and at-home commitment. At The Dermal Clinic, each treatment plan is individually tailored, supported by medical-grade home care and clinical follow-up to ensure safe, measurable, and lasting results.

  • Cosmelan® is a two-phase treatment combining an in-clinic procedure with a structured at-home program. Both phases are essential for achieving and maintaining results.

    Phase One – In-Clinic Application

After a full skin assessment and preparation period, a professional depigmenting mask (Cosmelan 1) is applied in-clinic.
This mask contains active ingredients such as azelaic acid, kojic acid, arbutin, phytic acid, and ascorbic acid – all known for their ability to suppress melanin production and brighten the skin.

The mask remains on the skin for several hours (usually between 8–12 hours depending on your skin type) before being removed at home. This initiates the controlled resurfacing process that sheds dull, pigmented skin cells and begins regulating pigment activity deep within the skin.

    Phase Two – At-Home Maintenance

Once the in-clinic mask is removed, the at-home program (Cosmelan 2) begins.
This stage is just as important as the professional treatment. It involves applying a combination of Cosmelan 2 cream, recovery balm, and broad-spectrum SPF daily. These work together to:

    • Continue regulating melanin production

    • Maintain fading of pigmentation

    • Support new, even-toned skin as it regenerates

This home care phase continues for several months to ensure long-term regulation of pigmentation.

  • During the first few days, your skin will feel tight and appear red – similar to a mild to moderate sunburn. Peeling, flaking, and dryness are normal and indicate that the skin is renewing. This stage can last up to 10–14 days depending on your skin sensitivity.

By week two, most redness subsides and the peeling slows. Pigmentation begins to lighten noticeably as new, even skin emerges. Continued use of the home care products will progressively enhance your results, with full improvement typically visible around 4–8 weeks after treatment.

The long-term outcome is smoother, clearer, and more evenly toned skin with a significant reduction in pigmentation intensity.

  • Cosmelan® provides visible improvement after one treatment series, but its results are maintained through commitment to the full home program and diligent daily sun protection. In Queensland’s high-UV environment, this is essential to prevent re-pigmentation.

For stubborn or recurring pigmentation types such as melasma, periodic maintenance treatments may be recommended to ensure results remain stable over time.

  • Cosmelan® is suitable for most skin types and is particularly beneficial for:

    • Melasma caused by hormones or pregnancy

    • Sun damage and age-related pigmentation

    • Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from acne or injury

    • Uneven tone and dull, mottled complexion

However, this treatment is not suitable during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, or for clients with very sensitive or compromised skin. A thorough consultation is required to ensure the treatment is safe and appropriate.

  • Expect mild to moderate redness and peeling for up to two weeks. During this time, it’s crucial to follow your aftercare instructions and avoid any exfoliation, active products, or heat exposure (including sun, saunas, or exercise that causes excessive sweating).

You will be provided with a comprehensive post-care kit, and regular follow-up appointments are scheduled to monitor your skin’s progress.
